SDConsultancy provides funded work place training and qualifications. The work based qualifications enable candidates to gain a relevant qualification in Hospitality, Management, Customer Service, Business and Administration, Sports and Leisure as well as Digital Marketing, while earning an income.
All the qualifications offered are carried out with the candidate, on a one-to- one basis, with assessments, support and training forming part of their qualification.
All our programmes offer the candidate the opportunity to select the various units available, that would most suit their learning, development and employer needs.
Once the most suitable programme and units have been agreed, the candidate is regularly visited by their assessor, to assess their performance against the nationally agreed SVQ standards.
All candidates’ performance is assessed using a variety of techniques, to ensure a varied and specialist approach is used to meet the candidates’ assessment needs and the requirements and standards of the qualification.
The assessments could include the use of observations, photographic evidence, audio and visual, witness testimonies, questions, work products.
The evidence is collated into a portfolio, where the candidates work is kept demonstrating ongoing development, competence and ability. The portfolio becomes a comprehensive document, outlining what the candidate has done to demonstrate their competence and knowledge of the criteria they have been assessed on.
