The SQA Scottish Certificate for Safe Sale and Service of Alcohol is designed principally for full and part-time staff who serve alcohol in the on and off-trade (pubs, clubs, hotels, restaurants, shops, off-licences and supermarkets). The qualification meets the requirements of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.

SCQF L6 - This course includes approx. 20 hours of coursework activity incl. practical & an exam

SCQF L5 - REHIS Elementary or Int 2 - This is a full day of coursework and an exam - Normally delivered in groups of 10 people or more

• Conducting a secondary survey
• Administering first aid to a casualty with injuries to their bones

4-5 hours interactive e-learning covering the following:

• Introduction to food safety
• Microbiological hazards
• Food poisoning and its control
• Contamination hazards and controls
• HACCP from delivery to service
• Personal hygiene
• Food premises and equipment
• Food pests and pest control
• Cleaning and disinfection
• Food safety enforcement

9-14 hours of interactive e-learning covering the following:

• Introduction to food safety
• Microbiology 
• Contamination hazards and control 
• Food poisoning 
• Personal hygiene 
• Design of food premises and equipment 
• Cleaning and disinfection 
• Pest control 
• HACCP 
• Control measures 
• Supervisory management 
• Food safety legislation and enforcement

1 hour of interactive e-learning covering the following:

• What the GDPR is, and how it affects how your business collects data
• The principles behind how you should process client data
• The rights of individuals over their data, including subject access requests and the right to be forgotten
• The GDPR requirements for your organisation
• What data and personal data is
• Data breaches and penalties
